Guidelines: 2017 Request for Grant Proposals
In 2017, 4Girls Foundation will offer a limited grant cycle focusing on organizations in Florida and Texas. No international grants will be funded. However, 4Girls welcomes information on all programs serving women and girls.
4Girls Foundation, Inc. invests in initiatives giving a voice to girls and women by providing individuals opportunities to enrich their lives and by supporting organizations committed to strengthening the live of girls, women, families, and communities.
4Girls Foundation supports grants for non-profit organizations whose programs align with the foundation’s mission. Grants can range from $1,000 to $25,000. Grants will be awarded based on (1) how the applicant organization’s mission and objectives align with 4Girls’ mission and funding objectives, (2) how the proposed project or program aligns with 4Girls’ mission and funding objectives, (3) the structure and programmatic needs of the grantee, and (4) 4Girls’ funding plan.
4Girls Foundation funding supports initiatives within its 4 program areas:
- Expanding Economic Opportunities
- Health and Wellness
- Women’s Rights
Proposals that serve disadvantaged, underserved and vulnerable individuals and communities will be prioritized. 4Girls Foundation is a 501(c) (3) private family foundation.
Grantee organizations must have valid 501(c)(3) non-profit status. While 4Girls gives priority to programming within the United States, there are no geographic restrictions to its grant program. In 2017, however, 4Girls will not be awarding international grants.
4Girls Foundation will not make grants available to:
- Organizations that discriminate on the basis of age, disability, ethnic origin, gender, sexual preference, marital status, race, or religion
- Organizations and programs designed to promote candidates to public office or for any political gain
- Individuals or groups to pay off debts or existing obligations
- Cover general operating expenses if these exceed more than 25% of the grant request.
Past recipients of 4Girls grants may re-apply for continuation of existing project or program or may apply for funding for a new program, project or event.
Proposals for grants will only be accepted July 1, 2017 through July 30, 2017.
